Meet Noura! She’s a curious, imaginative, and creative girl who loves birds, painting, and gardening with her Mama. After meeting her penpal Nuru and learning that both of their Baba's are incarcerated, they become best-friends and end up in the same class. During their first week of school, Noura and Nuru collaborate on a special project to help their classmates learn about incarceration, stigma, and resources for community care. Their special project turns into an inspiring story, beyond what everyone could've ever imagined! Join Noura and her family, as they reunite with their incarcerated loved one, receive community care, heal and remain very close while they are separated. 

This book is for youth in grades K - 12th (5 yrs old - 18 yrs old), however, older age groups may also benefit from the book's topic and content.
